This letter was received from the Homeowners whose kitchen is featured on this page:
A kitchen remodel is probably one of the most invasive, disruptive and exhausting jobs a homeowner can experience. The variables are challenging. Financially how are we going to do this within a reasonable budget? Logistically, where will our family eat and spend the majority of our time? Who are we going to use to trust with our home, our time and our money?
For the initial design of our new kitchen, we didn't want to simply replace what we had with new materials. We wanted to maximize the space and value of our kitchen. We turned to Pineapple Interiors, because they had been highly regarded in several reviews. The design for our new kitchen was performed by Joyce Bradshaw, who did not disappoint us with her ability to come up with a unique layout for our new kitchen that would increase the usable space in our kitchen by at least two-fold.
Once the design was completed, there really was no turning back for us. How could we settle for only an incremental increase in the functionality of our kitchen when we now knew what might be possible? However, we lead extremely busy lives, including the fact that we have a 16 month old son. Thus the next challenge was to find a contractor who would respect our home privacy while getting the job done in a timely and efficient manner. Again, we hired Pineapple Interiors to manage the execution of the project.
The contractor that we selected was based upon information that Pineapple Interiors researched for us. The kitchen is now approximately half way completed, and I have to say that my wife and I are extremely pleased. Each day, it is exciting to come home and see what new work has been completed and the pace of the progress has been impressive. Everything appears to be proceeding according to a well thought out plan, which I believe helps to minimize the intrusion and overall duration of our inconvenience. The workers have put up dust containment measures, such as plastic tarps, that help to minimize the mess in other areas of our house. My wife and I also feel the contractor has been responsive to our questions and concerns as they come up.
Although our kitchen is only half complete, my wife and I know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we can only start to imagine how valuable our new kitchen will be to the value of our home and our every day lives.
